Oceanbound is built on the centuries long Dutch tradition of water management and hydraulic engineering. With much of the country below sealevel, water has been the central, existential fact of life in the Netherlands for a great many centuries. It is not surprising that nowadays the Dutch dominate the global market in high-tech engineering and water management.

Cypriaan Hendrikse

FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Cypriaan Hendrikse is born and raised in The Netherlands and has 35 years of experience of preparing, executing and managing large infrastructure and waste management projects in the field of ports, marine construction and dredging. He has worked in executive roles as a contractor, consultant and port operator. The last 3 years he has been actively involved with several dredging, marine and environmental projects in Bangladesh, Payra Port, Mongla Port, Bay Terminal and Dhaka Canals.

He worked amongst others for APM Terminals (Maersk), Van Oord, NMDC, Moffatt & Nichol, The Ocean Cleanup and Arcadis. His projects on his name are, amongst others, Palm Island in Dubai UAE, Tuas View A and Changi Airport in Singapore, Moin Container Terminal in Costa Rica and Payra Port in Bangladesh.

His passion is to develop large projects on and around the water. Currently, he is busy helping to solve 2 major worldwide problems: plastic waste pollution and carbon crisis.

Nynke Venema

CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER

Nynke Venema is heading the Engineering Department which provides a full range of environmental and engineering services, and which has access to the best multi-disciplinary environmental and engineering experts who seek to address technical and regulatory concerns to add value, minimize risk, and ensure compliance for the development of project activities. Nynke has more than 25 years of experience in project management, onshore and offshore environmental and social management of projects to Good International Industry Practice (GIIP) and Lenders’ requirements.

She works in various sectors including mining and waste management, energy renewables, on- and offshore oil and gas, pipelines, BESS, IWPP, infrastructure (ports, highways, railways), water and sanitation, and apparel. She works with financial institutions signatory to the Equator Principles, corporate clients and governments to facilitate international project finance and ensure successful financial close. Nynke has extensive international experience leading and managing bankable ESHIAs and accompanying HSSE management and monitoring systems. She engages with people from all walks of life and is multilingual (Dutch, English, French, Italian, Spanish).

Marc ten Berg

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Marc is a Dutch finance executive with 25+ years of experience managing financial, contractual, and commercial matters for mega marine and infrastructure projects. He spent most of his career with Van Oord Dredging & Marine Contractors, holding senior finance leadership roles across Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.

He has overseen financial management for landmark projects including Maasvlakte 2 (Port of Rotterdam), New Suez Canal (Egypt), Moin Container Terminal (Costa Rica), and Palm Deira (Dubai). His expertise includes EPC and JV finance, claim management, lender reporting, governance, multi-billion-dollar project reporting and controls, international tax planning and double tax treaties, and tenders for and offers to potential clients.

Beno Morales

REGIONAL DIRECTOR, CENTRAL AMERICA

Beno Morales is a Honduran environmental entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Reciclaje Diamante, the oldest and largest recycling company in Honduras. He holds a university degree in Environmental Management from France and has dedicated his career to developing practical solutions for environmental protection and resource recovery.

An avid environmentalist, Beno combines his commitment to protecting the planet with a strong business and technology-driven approach. Under his leadership, Reciclaje Diamante continuously invests in the latest recycling technologies and operates to high international standards, processing recovered materials for major clients, including companies in the United States.

Within Oceanbound, Beno brings extensive regional knowledge, recycling expertise and operational experience. He leads Oceanbound’s activities in Central America, helping develop projects that intercept waste, maximise recycling and create lasting environmental and economic value for local communities.

Ronny Mollick

COUNTRY DIRECTOR – BANGLADESH

Ronny Mollick is Oceanbound’s Country Director in Bangladesh, bringing extensive experience in project management, government relations and the coordination of complex public- and private-sector initiatives.

He specializes in guiding projects from initial concept through approvals and implementation, working closely with government authorities, project partners and other key stakeholders. His experience includes regulatory processes, permits and clearances, project documentation, contract coordination and the development of cost-effective execution strategies.

With a strong understanding of Bangladesh’s institutional and administrative environment, Ronny plays an important role in developing new opportunities for Oceanbound and ensuring that projects progress efficiently from planning to execution. His practical approach focuses on stakeholder alignment, efficient use of resources and delivering projects within agreed budgets and timelines.
