Oceanbound is built on the centuries long Dutch tradition of water management and hydraulic engineering. With much of the country below sealevel, water has been the central, existential fact of life in the Netherlands for a great many centuries. It is not surprising that nowadays the Dutch dominate the global market in high-tech engineering and water management.

Oceanbound is a business with a social purpose. We help international organizations, NGO’s, governments, local communities and municipalities to put a stop to ocean bound plastics. We are on a mission to rid the heaviest polluted rivers worldwide from plastics and prevent them from leaking into the oceans. To do so we use the experience, knowledge and technology of the industry’s best.
Our Team
Cypriaan Hendrikse – with a background in civil and marine engineering – worked on dredging, marine engineering and offshore projects for over 25 years. Nowadays he dedicates his experience to the engineering of clean rivers. Cypriaan is supported by a team both globally and on location to prevent Ocean Bound Plastics (OCP) from reaching our oceans.
